Indoor Art PVC Wallpaper Film

Indoor Art PVC Wallpaper Film is a decorative surface material produced by printing artwork, photography, or graphic patterns onto a polyvinyl chloride film and finishing the surface with an embossed or coated texture. The film is supplied in rolls, typically 0.53 m, 1.06 m, or 1.37 m wide, with thicknesses of 0.10 mm to 0.30 mm. Printing is carried out by gravure or UV digital methods, and the surface is finished with a matte, satin, or textured lacquer that supports wiping and light scrubbing. The product is used on interior walls in residential, hospitality, retail, and office settings where a specified art image must be reproduced consistently across multiple rooms, floors, or building projects.

ODM / OEM

Custom Artwork and Private Label Production

Indoor Art PVC Wallpaper Film is produced under an ODM/OEM model. Buyers submit artwork files, color references, or design briefs, and the print and emboss tooling are prepared for the specific image. Color is matched to the submitted reference, and the approved proof is retained as the master standard for every subsequent production batch.

Artwork Input High-resolution image files, physical color swatches, licensed design assets
Customizable Elements Image content, color, gloss level, emboss texture, roll width, repeat length
Proofing Digital proof, physical proof on production film, signed master standard
Brand Packaging Roll label, core print, shrink wrap, carton marking, instruction insert
Order Pathways Trial roll, sample box, full production run, private label program

Print and Surface Properties

Image Reproduction
Gravure printing reproduces fine line work, photographic gradients, and solid color fields at resolutions up to 1,440 dpi. UV digital printing allows short-run and one-off wall images without cylinder tooling, suitable for limited-edition hotel rooms or office feature walls.
Surface Texture Range
Emboss textures include fine canvas, linen, stucco, and smooth matte finishes. Texture depth ranges from 15 microns to 100 microns and is applied after printing so that the image remains visible beneath the relief surface.
Color Consistency Across Runs
The approved proof is stored as a spectral data file and a physical control panel. Batch measurement against the control panel holds color variation within a Delta E of 1.5 or below, so artwork reproduced for separate rooms or later expansion phases matches the original installation.
Cleanability
The lacquer topcoat resists wiping with a damp cloth and diluted neutral detergent. Scrubbing with a soft brush is acceptable on textured grades; abrasive pads and solvent cleaners are excluded because they remove the topcoat and dull the printed image.

Where the Film Is Used

Hospitality

Hotel rooms, lobbies, and corridors use Indoor Art PVC Wallpaper Film to carry a consistent visual identity across large room counts. Digital short-run production allows different art images on different floors while maintaining a single approved production standard and packaging format.

Office Interiors

Meeting rooms, reception areas, and branded feature walls use the film where a corporate image or wayfinding graphic must be applied directly to the wall surface. The matte and canvas grades reduce glare under ceiling lighting in open-plan spaces.

Residential Projects

Developers and interior contractors specify the film for feature walls in show units and completed residences. The film can be produced to match a purchaser-selected artwork, and the same approved proof is used for repeat orders on subsequent units.

Retail and Exhibition

Popup shops, exhibition stands, and product display walls use the film for short-duration graphics that must be applied and removed without damaging the substrate. Prefixed adhesive grades and removable adhesive grades are both available.

Buyer Questions

How is artwork color approved for a custom order?

The buyer submits the artwork file with a color reference, either a printed swatch or a digital target. A proof is printed on the production film with the intended surface finish and sent for review. Once the buyer signs the proof, that sample becomes the master standard. Production rolls are compared against the master by spectrophotometer and by visual inspection under D65 lighting.

Can a single image be produced in different roll widths?

Yes. The print file is set up with the image repeat positioned for the widest roll in the order, and narrower rolls are produced by slitting the master web or by running a separate print setup. Buyers should confirm the roll width for each room or wall section at the time of ordering, because the image positioning relative to the roll edge cannot be changed after production starts.

Is a physical proof available before full production?

A physical proof on production film is supplied for custom orders. Proof size covers the full repeat length and roll width at a reduced length so that image registration, color, and texture can be assessed. The signed proof is retained by the factory and referenced for the production run.

What adhesive options are supplied with the film?

Two grades are available: a prefixed self-adhesive film for direct application to smooth substrates, and a paste-the-wall film without adhesive for projects where the installer prefers a separate adhesive system. The paste-the-wall grade allows adjustment during hanging and is preferred for large-format art images that require precise panel alignment.

How should the film be removed at the end of its service life?

Prefixed adhesive grades are removable by lifting a corner and pulling the film away at a low angle, warming the surface with a heat gun where the adhesive has aged. Paste-the-wall grades release after wetting the wall and lifting from the panel edge. Walls should be inspected and patched after removal before new film is applied.

Storage and Installation Notes

  1. Store Indoor Art PVC Wallpaper Film rolls upright in a dry area at 15°C to 25°C. Do not lay rolls on their side, as edge compression can distort the printed surface and leave marks on the adhesive.
  2. Allow rolls to reach room temperature for 24 hours before installation. Cold film is less compliant on wall corners and may crack at the texture relief lines.
  3. Confirm that the wall surface is smooth, dry, and free of dust and oil before application. Art images with fine gradients show substrate imperfections more than solid color patterns.
  4. Install panels in sequence from the same production batch. Batches are color matched, but mixing separate production runs on one wall can produce a visible step where two rolls meet.
  5. Clean the installed surface with a damp soft cloth and neutral detergent. Wipe in the direction of the emboss texture and avoid soaking the seam edges.
